‘A Lot’: Lucy Punch, Jen Tullock, Brett Goldstein & Krystal Smith Join Whitney Cummings’ HBO Pilot

Lucy Punch (Ben And Kate), Brett Goldstein (SuperBob), Jenn Tullock (Partners) and Krystal Smith (aka YouTube’s Krissychula) have been cast opposite Whitney Cummings in her half-hour HBO comedy pilot A Lot (fka Untitled Whitney Cummings).

Whitney CummingsInspired by Maureen Dowd’s book Are Men Necessary?: When Sexes Collide, Cummings stars in this not so romantic comedy about how a financially successful woman navigates a world complicated by the biological and cultural differences between the sexes.

Punch is Izzy, a Jen Tullock 1close friend of Amanda’s who is in her first romantic relationship with a woman. Goldstein plays Max, Amanda’s live-in boyfriend who designs hand-drawn wall paper and makes very little money. Tullock plays Lou, Amanda’s freshly divorced friend. Smith is Opal, Amanda’s new and outspoken assistant.

Cummings co-writes and executive produces with Jenny Bicks, who showruns. Dowd also executive produces with Tom Werner and Jimmy Miller. Richard Shepard is directing the pilot and exec produces. Shooting begins next month in Los Angeles.

Punch played BJ on Fox’s Ben and Kate and recently had a guest role on New Girl. She also appeared in features Bad Teacher and Into the Woods. Tullock co-wrote and stars in her short film Partners which premiered at Sundance this year. She also created, wrote and stars with her friend Hannah Utt in Super Deluxe’s new web series Disengaged. She’s repped by Primary Wave and Lichter, Grossman. Cummings is repped by CAA and Mosaic. Goldstein is repped by CAA, Mosaic, and attorney Dan Fox.
