Modern Dating Pitch ‘Swiped’ Sold To CBS Films

alisha brophyscottmilesEXCLUSIVE: CBS Films has bought Swiped, an original pitch described as a comedic takedown of modern dating from writers Alisha Brophy and Scott Miles. This is the third project the writers have set up around town along with White Girl Problems, which is at Lionsgate (and out to directors), and Boys Are Stupid at Universal Pictures. Both of those are being produced by Brownstone.

Swiped is being produced by Circle of Confusion (Matt Smith and Brad Mendelsohn) and the writing team of Keith Merryman and David A. Newman executive producing along with Ashley Berns. The project plays off of the craziness that comes from swiping right and left on our phones looking for that right connection. The romantic comedy will be overseen by CBS Films executives Mark Ross and Alex Ginno.

Brophy and Miles are repped by Paradigm, Ashley Berns at Circle of Confusion and attorney Lev Ginsburg at Ginsburg Daniels. Circle of Confusion was repped in the deal by attorney Howard Abramson at Behr & Abramson. Merryman and Newman were repped by APA, manager Writ Large and attorney Mitch Smelkinson at Stone Meyer.
