‘Man Seeking Woman’ Renewed For Season 3 By FXX


Simon Rich’s Man Seeking Woman has been picked up by FXX for a 10-episode third season to premiere early next year. The renewal comes on the heels of a record-tying two-season pickup for veteran It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. FXX has now renewed all 3 of its current original comedy series — Sonny and 2015 additions Man Seeking Woman and You’re the Worst.

Man Seeking Woman, from Broadway Video and FX Prods, chronicles the grueling dating life of Josh Greenberg (Jay Baruchel). The series also stars Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) as Josh’s best bud, and Britt Lower (Sisters) as his older sister.

Rich, creator and showrunner, adapted the series from his short story collection The Last Girlfriend on Earth. He is executive producing are Jonathan Krisel, Andrew Singer, Ian Maxtone-Graham and Lorne Michaels.

Man Seeking Woman had another great season this year and continues to offer one of the smartest and funniest takes on dating and relationships on TV today,” FX Networks’ Nick Grad said. “We are excited to move forward on a third season of Man Seeking Woman with Simon, Jonathan, Andrew, Ian and Lorne, and thank Jay, Eric and Britt for keeping the show so enjoyable.”

The series recently concluded its second season with an uptick of 2% in total viewers over the first season (399,000 vs. 393,000), based on Live+7.
