WGA & CBS News Reach Deal For New Contract

This just in: The WGA East and West have reached a tentative agreement with CBS News for a new three-year contract. The deal covers more than 300 news writers, producers, editors, graphic artists, production assistants and promotion writers working in the network’s TV and radio news operations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

The pact, which now must be ratified by the guilds’ members, replaces the old contract that had been set to expire today. About 120 WGA West members and more than 200 WGA East members work under the contract.
