‘Bosch’ Renewed For Season 3 By Amazon

Less than a month after the second season of Bosch debuted, Amazon Studios said today its hardened LAPD detective is coming back for Season 3. The 10-episode third season of the series based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling Harry Bosch novels is likely set to debut next year. The new season will draw from Connolly’s 1992 The Black Echo and 2001 A Darkness More Than Night books.

Starring Titus Welliver as the idiosyncratic, tough, jazz-loving cop, Bosch — one of Amazon’s most popular original series — was developed by Eric Overmyer. Connolly and Wire alum Overmyer serve as executive producers along with Pieter Jan Brugge and Henrik Bastin of Fabrik Entertainment.

“Our customers can’t get enough of Harry Bosch,” said Morgan Wandell, Head of Drama Series at Amazon Studios. “Michael, Eric, Henrik, and Pieter Jan, as well as Titus and the entire cast and crew, have done a fantastic job with Season 2, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for next season.”

As Bosch’s partner Detective Jerry Edgar, Jamie Hector is also in the show, as is Amy Aquino and Madison Lintz. Lance Reddick plays LAPD Deputy Chief Irvin Irving in the one-hour drama that first premiered on February 13, 2015.
