Anthony Stewart Head Joins Freeform’s ‘Guilt’; Jose Moreno Brooks In ‘Baby Daddy’

Anthony Stewart Head will join his daughter Daisy Head on Freeform’s new original series Guilt. The hourlong soapy drama is about Grace Atwood (Daisy Head), a young American in London who becomes the prime suspect in the savage murder of her roommate. Her sister Natalie (the recently added Emily Tremaine) leaves her life as a Boston prosecutor and heads to London to defend her. Billy Zane, Cristian Solimeno, Naomi Ryan, Kevin Ryan, Zachary Fall, Simona Brown and newcomer Sam Cassidy also are aboard. Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) will recur as James Lahue, Grace and Natalie’s wealthy, charming stepfather with ties to murder victim Molly Ryan. The businessman whose business isn’t all above board has a close relationship with Grace, but Natalie has always seen through his facade. Natalie questions whether the attorney he’s hired to represent Grace, Stan Gutterie (Zane), is really defending her or actually using Grace to hide any connection James might have to Molly’s murder. The British-born Head, a stage and screen actor, is best known for playing Rupert Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Uther Pendragon in Merlin. He is repped by APA.

Jose Moreno Brooks has been cast in a recurring role on Freeform’s flagship comedy Baby Daddy. Brooks, a series regular on NBC’s Telenovela, is playing Roger, a handsome, enthusiastic though somewhat awkward paralegal who is the assistant to Riley (Chelsea Kane). Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler and Tahj Mowry star along with Kane in the series, which is created and executive produced by Dan Berendsen. Brooks is repped by KMR and manager Bob McGowan.
