Investigation Discovery Sets ‘I Am Homicide’ Docuseries On Veteran Murder Detective

Investigation Discovery is calling the cops. The true-crime cable net said today that it has greenlighted I Am Homicide, a docuseries that will follow a Charlotte, NC, detective “with more than a 90% success rate” as he works cases. The hourlong program is set for a June premiere.

From ID’s description: “Detective Garry McFadden is an officer unlike any other. Fully immersing himself in Investigation Discovery logoevery corner of Charlotte to protect and serve the community, [he] uses his street smarts to work the neighborhoods and gather critical information for leads, no matter how dangerous. Chances are, when the call comes in, Detective McFadden knows those involved – whether it’s the victim, the family members…or even the perpetrator. Every day, he risks his life by trusting the streets he calls home. … This unique look at justice shows McFadden’s fiery passion; all the while he’s wearing the best suits in town. And, after 35 years on the force, he shows no signs of slowing down.”

I Am Homicide is produced by Blackfin, and the company’s Geno McDermott, Alexa Conway and Patrick Conway executive produce. Diana Sperrazza is executive producer for Investigation Discovery.
