James Colby Commissioned For ‘Patriots Day’; Morfydd Clark Sets Up ‘Interlude In Prague’

James Colby has joined the cast of Patriots Day, the CBS Films and Lionsgate pic about the events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He will play Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans, who ran in the race then helped plan and coordinate the hunt for the terrorists. Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons and Jimmy O. Yang also star in the film. Peter Berg is directing from a script from Oscar-nominated Bridge of Spies co-writer Matt Charman. Repped by Stewart Talent and Liebman Entertainment, Colby’s recent credits include Limitless, Madoff, Jessica Jones and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. 

Morfydd Clark has joined the Mozart drama Interlude In Prague, a British film from helmer John Stephenson and scripters Brian Ashby and Helen Clare Cromarty. Clark will play Zuzanna Luptac, an 18-year-old soprano who begins a passionate affair with Mozart (Aneurin Barnard) but is forced to marry another man. James Purefoy and Samantha Barks also star in the film, which is set the eponymous city in 1787 and follows a few turbulent months in Mozart’s life that influenced the creation of Don Giovanni. Production begins next month. The fast-rising Clark’s film credits include Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, The Falling, Madame Bovary and Whit Stillman’s Sundance pic Love & Friendship. She is repped by Curtis Brown in the UK and Mosaic in Los Angeles.
