Former ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Erin Storm Dies In L.A. Plane Crash

Erin Storm

Erin Storm, a contestant on Season 12 of The Bachelor, died Monday after the single-engine plane she was piloting crashed after taking off from Hawthorne Municipal Airport near Los Angeles. She was 41. Storm was in cardiac arrest when emergency crews arrived and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The coroner’s office has not yet identified the crash victim, but several of Storm’s friends shared remembrances of her on Facebook.

Storm appeared on the ABC reality competition in 2008 and was eliminated in Week 3 by Bachelor Matt Grant, who eventually proposed to Shayne Lamas in the finale.

Storm was working as a pilot for Pacific Blue Air, an aircraft training facility based at Hawthorne Airport, according to media reports. The crash is being investigated by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
