CBS Sets Summer Premiere Dates For ‘BrainDead’, ‘American Gothic’ & More

CBS has announced its summer schedule, with premiere dates for new series BrainDead and American Gothic, the sophomore season of Zoo and the return of summer reality hit Big Brother.

BrainDead, from The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King, is launching June 13 in the 10 PM Monday spot where Under The Dome had premiered. It later moved to Thursdays. Murder mystery American Gothic, from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, debuts at 10 PM Wednesday, June 22, the slot previously held by CSI: Cyber. Zoo, last summer’s No. 1 scripted series, returns for its second season with a special two-hour premiere, Tuesday, June 28 at 9 PM, before moving to its regular Tuesday PM slot July 5. Last summer, NCIS: New Orleans aired at that time.

Big Brother, hosted by Julie Chen, will once again have its same three weekly episodes, on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. It debuts with a special two-hour premiere, on Wednesday, June 22 at 8 PM, followed by the 9 PM Thursday broadcast on June 23, Sunday’s installment on June 26 at 8 PM and its regular Wednesday time period on June 29 at 8 PM.
