Fandango Rebrands M-GO On-Demand Video Service As FandangoNOW

Fandango said this morning it’s launching its first-ever VOD/EST service FandangoNOW on March 30. Earlier this year, Fandango acquired the M-GO digital video distribution platform and will re-brand that as FandangoNOW. The new service launches later this month across the Web, iOS, Android, and Roku devices as well as on smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Vizio.

It’s a great date, just in time for the VOD releases of Oscar winners The Revenant and The Hateful Eight.  FandangoNOW will offer a library of major studio releases and next-day TV shows for purchase or rental. Fandango is owned by Comcast.

FandangoNow_HORIZ“The launch of FandangoNOW is a huge milestone for the company, as we aim to deliver the best movie experience anytime and anywhere, across the total movie lifecycle,” said Fandango president Paul Yanover in a statement. “We’re thrilled to launch FandangoNOW in time for 2016’s most anticipated in-home debuts, including recent blockbusters and Oscar contenders for which we sold millions of tickets during their theatrical release.”

On February 17, Fandango acquired movie review monitor portal Rotten Tomatoes
