FilmBuff has acquired output rights to Temps, a comedy about modern love, commitment and careerism. The film will hit select theaters and VOD day-and-date on April 5. Check out the trailer above.
Directed by Ryan Sage from Tim Bennett-Huxtable’s script, Temps centers on Jefferson (Grant Rosenmeyer), a temp worker whose only career goal is to afford an annual ski trip with his best friend and fellow temp, Curtis (Reid Ewing). When Jefferson falls for co-worker Stephanie (Lindsey Shaw), an ambitious go-getter with aspirations of a challenging career, he is forced to re-evaluate his minimum-wage, minimum-commitment lifestyle. Eden Sher and Chris Bauer co-star.
FimBuff is partnering on the film with Grandex Productions. Temps marks the first venture into film for the content arm of Grandex Inc., which specializes in millennial-driven digital properties such as TotalFratMove and PostGradProblems. “Film complements our already popular and diversified media portfolio, and Temps serves as the perfect introduction for our postgrad audience to engage with this natural brand evolution,” said Jordan Gershowitz, VP of Grandex Productions.
The deal was negotiated by Jake Hanly of FilmBuff and Jordan Gershowitz of Grandex Productions on behalf of the filmmaker.
