Sony Pacts With Momentum Pictures In Home Entertainment Deal


Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has pacted with Entertainment One in deal that will see SPHE distribute eOne’s specialty label Momentum Pictures on physical and digital platforms globally excluding Canada, where eOne is based.

Entertainment One revived the once-defunct Momentum ahead of last fall’s Toronto Film Festival as a new, distinct label focused on securing films for digital and ancillary exploitation on a global basis. (The previous Momentum had been Alliance Films’ UK business before eOne acquired Alliance in 2013.) The new Momentum’s current slate includes Stephen Frears’ Lance Armstrong pic The Program, Kiefer and Donald Sutherland’s Forsaken and All Roads Lead To Rome starring Sarah Jessica Parker.

SPHE will also manage U.S. distribution for eOne television titles on DVD and Blu-ray including Haven and Bitten.
