‘Superior Donuts’: David Koechner, Megyn Price & Sarah Stiles Cast In CBS Pilot

The Office alum David Koechner, Rules of Engagement alumna Megyn Price and Sarah Stiles have been tapped for co-starring roles opposite Brian d’Arcy James and Jermaine Fowler in Superior Donuts, CBS’ multi-camera comedy pilot written by Bob Daily and Neil Goldman & Garrett Donovan and directed by James Burrows.

Based on the play by Tracy Letts, Sarah StilesSuperior Donuts follows the relationship between the owner of a donut shop, Arthur (James), his new young employee, Franco (Fowler), and their patrons in a gentrifying neighborhood of Chicago. Koechner will play Tush, Arthur’s most loyal customer, who comes in every morning for breakfast and often stays through lunch and dinner, occupying his regular stool at the counter. Price is Randy, a sarcastic and matter-of-fact street cop. Superior Donuts is part of her beat. Stiles will play Dana, a professor at nearby Loyola University with a weakness for jelly donuts and a soft spot for Arthur and her fellow patrons.

Koechner, repped by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and attorney Adam Kaller, is the voice of Dick on American Dad! and recurs on The Goldbergs.  His feature credits include the Anchorman franchise. Price, repped by APA and Leslie Allan-Rice Management, played Audrey on the long-running CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement and also recurred on American Dad! Tony-nominated Stiles was last seen as Jessica in the Broadway production of Hand to God. She’s repped by CESD, Authentic and attorney James S. Adams of Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams.
