‘My Blind Brother’ Clip: See Adam Scott Punch A Biker

EXCLUSIVE: Is it the American Zatoichi? Maybe, maybe not, but the comedy My Blind Brother, which world premieres later this week at South By Southwest 2016 looks like a hell of a lot of fun either way. From first time writer-director Sophie Goodhart, the pic sees Adam Scott as a handsome ladies man and near perfect athlete who also happens to be blind, and Nick Kroll as his less handsome brother whose role in life is to serve as his brother’s eyes. Things get strained considerably when they fall for the same woman, played by Jenny Slate. And in the exclusive-to-Deadline clip above, you can see how that plays out as Kroll attempts to defend Scott from a rude biker, only to have Scott take matters into his own sightless hands in a dryly funny, humiliating way.

I was going to see this thing regardless but hearing Adam Scott delivering a very Ben Wyatt-esque lecture on nutrition before knocking a tough guy on his rear end had me rolling. The film’s premiere screening happens March 12 at
7:15PM at the Topfer Theatre at ZACH. Additional screenings are slated for March 14 at 4:00 PM at the Alamo Lamar, and March 18 at 2:15 PM at the Alamo Ritz. Low Spark Films and Safehouse Pictures are producing. WME Global is handling worldwide sales.
