WME Computers Shut Down To Prevent Virus Spread

All the computers at WME were turned off today as the agency’s IT department detected a virus and pre-emptively tried to stop its spread. I’m told there was no breach of data or anything like that, and it’s business as usual as people there are texting and still sending emails and they actually might — gasp — communicate with that arcane implement known as the telephone. It looks like the computers could stay off going into Friday. This is certainly unusual but a sign of the times we live in, unfortunately. If it is more serious, we’ll let you know.
