Netflix Sets First German Series ‘Dark’ From Director Baran bo Odar

Netflix has set its first original German series Dark for premiere in 2017.

Described as a family saga with a supernatural twist, Dark is set in a present-day German town where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. In ten hour-long episodes, the story takes on a supernatural twist that ties back to the same town in 1986. Dark is directed by Baran bo Odar, who helmed German box office hit Who Am I – No System Is Safe.

Production is expected to start this year with the series debut worldwide on Netflix in 2017.
