‘Hard Sell’ Sells To Momentum Pictures For Spring Release

Momentum Pictures has acquired North American rights to Hard Sell, the indie dramatic comedy starring Skyler Gisondo, Katrina Bowden and Kristin Chenoweth. The pic, which marks writer-director Sean Nalaboff’s feature film debut, will be released in the spring day-and-date.

The plot: Set on the Gold Coast of Long Island, it centers on Hardy Buchanan (Gisondo), a senior at an elite private school who struggles to support his unstable mom (Chenoweth). Desperate to make some quick cash, he enlists the help of Bo (Bowden), a beautiful runaway, and together they devise an unconventional plan of profiting off of the wayward teens at Hardy’s school. When the students learn Bo has more to offer than what meets the eye, the unlikely duo’s new business takes a unique turn, tossing them headfirst into the lifestyles of the rich and dysfunctional.

Nalaboff, Jimmy Seargeant and Jared Greenman produced via Yellow Cote Productions. The deal was negotiated by Larry Greenberg for Momentum and by Greenman and attorney Paul Battista on behalf of the production.

Momentum, the label revived by eOne last fall, is behind the release of Stephen Frears’ Lance Armstrong pic The Program, which bowed last week on DirecTV ahead of its March 18 theatrical release.
