Stone Village Lands B.A. Paris British Bestseller ‘Behind Closed Doors’

behind closed doorsEXCLUSIVE: Stone Village Productions’ Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell have acquired the film and TV rights to B.A. Paris’  thriller tome Behind Closed Doors. Paris’ debut novel, which is described to have nuances of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, follows Jack and Grace, a couple who appear to have the perfect marriage. But it’s built on a terrifying secret. Following their picture-book wedding, the couple’s honeymoon kicks off a nail-biting pursuit.In the UK, Behind Closed Doors has been the No. 1 bestselling Kindle novel with 100K copies sold in its first three days. That deal was negotiated between Russell and Sheila David of Darley Anderson Literary Agency. The producers paid high-six figures for the option. The novel was published last week by HarperCollins UK’s imprint Mira Publishing House.

Stone Village recently acquired the New York Times bestseller Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel in a pre-emptive bid just before its publishing. Brian Nelson (Hard Candy) wrote the script, and the project is currently being packaged with a director and cast.
