‘People V. O.J. Simpson’ Week 2 Demo Numbers Steady In Live+3


The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story had DVRs humming last week. Episode 2 of the FX drama posted a Bronco-busting 104% lift in Live+3 numbers in adults 18-49 from its Live+Same Day figures. The “Run of His Life” episode drew 3.9 million L+3 viewers in the demo, a 7% dip from the premiere week but still good enough to rate as the biggest show on TV last Tuesday among 18-49. FX said it marked the best second-week retention of any drama in its recent history.

The People V. O.J. Simpson key artWeek 2 of the 10-episode docudrama starring Cuba Gooding Jr as the Juice drew 7.4 million total viewers in L+3, a 91% bounce over L+SD but off nearly 11% from the first episode — which was the most-watched series premiere in FX history.

Sarah Paulson, John Travolta, Courtney B. Vance. David Schwimmer and Nathan Lane also star in the series from executive producers Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson and Brad Fulchuk. Episode 3 airs tonight.
