Netflix’s ‘True Memoirs Of An International Assassin’ Adds Cast; Jim Gaffigan & Carl Reiner Join ‘Duck Duck Goose’
Netflix has added several actors to its Kevin James action comedy True Memoirs Of An International Assassin. Zulay Henao (The Single Moms Club), Andy Garcia (Kill the Messenger), Maurice Compte (Narcos), Kelen Coleman (The McCarthys), Andrew Howard (Taken 3), Rob Riggle (22 Jump Street), Leonard Earl Howze (Memphis Beat), Yul Vazquez (The Lottery) and Kim Coates (Sons Of Anarchy) have join the pic directed by Jeff Wadlow. James stars as a mild-mannered would-be author who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. The book is a huge success, and he suddenly is kidnapped and forced into an assassination plot in Venezuela. Production is underway in Atlanta, and the film will premiere on the streaming service in 2016.
Jim Gaffigan and Carl Reiner has joined the voice cast of Duck Duck Goose, Original Force Animation’s toon feature from director Christopher Jenkins. Gaffigan will star as Peng, a highflying bachelor who is saddled with two wide-eyed orphan ducklings (Zendaya and Lance Lim) as they come face-to-face with the dangers and beauty of the outside world. Reiner will voice Larry, a venerable, wise and loyal friend who happens to be a turtle. The cast also includes Stephen Fry, Jennifer Grey, Molly Shannon, Greg Proops, Diedrich Bader and Rick Overton. Gaffigan toplines TV Land’s The Jim Gaffigan Show and appears in the upcoming feature Drunk Parents and The Bleeder. Veteran actor-writer-director Reiner’s credits range from Your Show Of Shows to the Ocean’s 11 franchise to Two And A Half Men and Hot In Cleveland.
