FilmNation Lands ‘Leverage’ Spec By Oliver Kramer

EXCLUSIVE: FilmNation moved quickly to acquire Leverage, a New York-set legal thriller spec script by Oliver Kramer. FilmNation made the deal in a competitive situation and now will move to package it. If Kramer’s name is familiar, it’s because he was the former head of film for Raindog Films, Colin Firth’s London-based production company. This is his first script.

Set in the summer of 1974, it wraps a murder mystery around the beginnings of modern Wall Street mergers-and-acquisitions hustlers evident in films like The Wolf Of Wall Street. Before working for Firth on films like Eye In The Sky and Loving, Kramer was an exec at Warner Bros-based Langley Park and Hollywood Gang, and before that he was a producer/reporter for the NPR affiliate WNYC.

Oasis Media Group manages him and he’s lawyered by Sloane Offer.
