‘Finding Carter’ Canceled After Two Seasons On MTV


Teen family drama Finding Carter won’t be back for Season 3. Zac Pullam, who played Grant on the series, first tweeted the news today and Deadline confirmed the cancellation with MTV.

MTV logoThe unconventional family drama centered on Carter (Kathyrn Prescott), a teenage girl who thinks she has the perfect life until one night after a police bust at a high school party she is told that the woman who she believes to be her biological mother actually abducted her as a toddler.

The drama was a strong ratings performer in its first season, ranking as the No. 1 new cable series with 12-34-year-olds and teens, but ratings dipped in Season 2. Finding Carter was executive produced by Terri Minsky (Carrie Diaries), Deborah Spera (Army Wives), Maria Grasso (Army Wives), and Alexander Motlagh (Single Ladies), and was created by Emily Silver (Bones).
