Taylor Spreitler To Co-Star In Kevin James’ CBS Comedy Series

Melissa & Joey alumna Taylor Spreitler is set as a regular opposite Kevin James in his multi-camera comedy series at CBS.

The untitled show, from Sony Pictures TV, James’ studio-based Hey Eddie Productions and CBS TV Studios, centers on a newly retired police officer (James) who looks forward to spending more quality time with his wife and three kids — only to discover he faces much tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets. Spreitler will play Kendra, James’ once over-achieving, people-pleasing, daddy’s girl whose been radicalized by college and now has her own independence and point of view.

James, Reuben and Helford, who co-wrote the comedy together, executive produce alongside James’ producing partner Jeff Sussman. Helford is the showrunner.

Spreitler is recurring on on Jason Reitman’s Hulu comedy series Casual. She is also featured in the upcoming Dimension/Blumhouse feature, Amityville: The Awakening.
