Conan’s Student Driver Video Generates 26M Views To Become Show’s Most-Watched Clip Ever

Conan O’Brien’s video remote featuring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and the host “helping” Conan staffer Diana Chang learn how to drive a car has generated more than 26M views since debuting January 5 on YouTube and the Team Coco website. That makes it his show’s most watched clip ever.

Among several milestones hit this month, Team Coco’s YouTube channel has surpassed 2 billion video viewers, with more than 6.2 billion minutes watched. The channel, which features clips from current and past episodes of TBS’ Conan, along with online-exclusive music and comedy, has grown its fan base, climbing to more than 3.5 million subscribers.

Conan O’Brien and Team Coco collectively draw more than 19.5 million Twitter followers and 2.7 million Facebook fans.

In the 12-minute driving video, Conan and the Ride Along 2 stars teach Chang how to cut off drivers, talk to the cops, explain that “rules are for bitches,” buy a pinata which they filled with medical marijuana, discussed Conan’s male-prostitute wardrobe, visited Popeyes – those are the printable bits, anyway.

James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke videos also are breaking records for his CBS’ Late Late Show. Carpool Karaoke with Adele has had 54 million views to date since it posted on The Late Late Show‘s YouTube channel on January 13, second only to Justin Bieber Carpool Karaoke, which remains the most-streamed YouTube clip of all time for the Late Late Show channel. It has had 55 million views to date since posting on May 20, 2015.
