‘Full Circle’ Renewed By DirecTV/AT&T For Presidential Election-Themed Season 3 Co-Starring Dougray Scott & Kim Raver

DirecTV’s original anthology drama Full Circle has been picked up for a third season to air in 2016. Dougray Scott and Kim Raver audience_reg_logo_K copyare set for co-starring roles in the ensemble drama, whose third season is being written/executive produced by Jorge Zamacona. Following AT&T’s acquisition of DirecTV, Season 3 will air on Audience Network on both DirecTV and AT&T U-verse. Filming on the 10 half-hour episodes will start in January in Los Angeles.

fullcircleIn Season 3, Full Circle explores the dark underworld of national politics. It focuses on a sex scandal that threatens to destroy a Presidential candidate and stop his almost certain election. Like season 2 of Full Circle, which was written by Keith Huff, the upcoming season will expand upon the original format of Neil LaBute’s season 1, in which we see a daisy chain of characters interacting with each other through the ten episodes. The main thrust of each episode takes place in a high-end hotel in Miami during the days leading up to the Democratic primary. Like with the previous two seasons, Full Circle plans to assemble a cast of established TV actors, starting with Scott and Raver.

jorge_zamaconaScott (Taken 3) will play the rugged and charismatic U.S. Senator Davis Faulkner who is poised to win the Florida Presidential Primary, which will assure him the Democratic nomination for the fall election. He is a clear and present danger to the hard-line, right-wing military and fiscal hawks in the GOP, as he is a wildly popular liberal centrist democrat.

Raver (24) will play Faulkner’s wife Jane. Born into incredible wealth, she is well educated, a Christian and an accomplished businesswoman who has long been her husband’s rock but recent events are testing her faith mightily. She is not the doting, ever supportive doormat most political wives are, and she is approaching a boiling point with the amoral universe presidential politics presents.

fullcircleFull Circle is an incredibly thought-provoking series, said Christopher Long, SVP, Original Content & Production, AT&T, who has shepherded the series since the beginning in his previous capacity as SVP, Entertainment & Production, Audience Network, DirecTV. “A seasoned and talented TV writer like Jorge Zamacona will give the show’s intense dialog a brand new feel this season. His writing will lure viewers into the world of conspiracy and politics— which pairs perfectly as we enter into our presidential election season.”

Zamacona started his career on St. Elsewhere and went on to shows like Homicide: Life On The Streets, Oz, and Third Watch. He is currently helping run the Michael Bay TNT drama, The Last Ship.

BAFTA-award winner Nick Hamm (Rogue) is set to direct and produce. Momentum TV is the production company behind all three seasons, while FremantleMedia International handles global distribution of the series.

Raver is repped by WME and Atlas Artists; Scott is repped by WME and 42.
