WME Signs Stephen David Entertainment

On the heels of Stephen David Entertainment signaling a major expansion into scripted television with the appointment of Dirk Hoogstra as Chief Creative Officer, the company has signed with WME. It was previously repped by CAA.

The Banijay Entertainment-owned independent studio is known for David’s docudrama series that blend documentary and reenactments utilizing CGI and state-of-the art technology, including The Men Who Built America and The World Wars at History as well as The Making Of The Mob and the upcoming The West at AMC.

SDE’s first fully-scripted offering, the History miniseries Sons Of Liberty, just landed a WGA Award nomination in the Best Long Form Original Category for David who wrote the mini with Kirk Ellis and David C. White. ‪“I’m honored to be recognized by the WGA for Sons Of Liberty, a project that has been crucial to the ongoing evolution of SDE as a company,” said David of his first WGA nom.

SDE is currently in production on shows for AMC, CMT, Netflix and ID.
