Melissa Joan Hart & 44 Blue Developing ‘Sweet Harts’ Family Docuseries

Melissa Joan Hart (Melissa & Joey) and Paula Hart’s Hartbreak Films and 44 Blue Productions are teaming to develop Sweet Harts, a family docuseries that follows the Harts’ journey as they open up their dream dessert shop.

Sweet Harts will focus on Melissa Joan Hart and her  ex-showbiz siblings as they open and operate Melissa’s dream dessert store – Sweet Harts – in her hometown of Westport, CT. After a failed attempt with other partners in Sherman Oaks, CA, Melissa is ready to try again – but this time, the right way. With her opinionated family by her side helping her, everyone is excited to see this dream to fruition – but of course, it wouldn’t be a dream without a little drama along the way.

“We’re proud to partner with Melissa and Paula to showcase her second bid at creating the winning recipe for a family-run business,” said Stephanie Noonan Drachkovitch, co-founder and president of 44 Blue Productions. “It’s an honor to be trusted to share the story of Melissa and her family with a new generation of viewers who love food, family, and humor.”

“I couldn’t be more excited about partnering with Stephanie and the team at 44 Blue. I knew they’d be the perfect fit to showcase our family’s dream of opening up ‘Sweet Harts’ – they have a great track record of building long-running, meaningful programs,” said Melissa Joan Hart, who will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

The series also features Melissa’s little sister Emily Hart (Sabrina, The Teenage Witch); her brother Brian Hart (The Right Connections), her divorced sister Lizzie Hart (The Right Connections) and Trish Hart. Other family members who will appear are Melissa’s husband, Mark Wilkerson, along with their three boys; their mother, Paula Hart; half sisters Ali and Sammy Gilliams, half-sister Mackenzie Hart, and stepdad Leslie Gilliams, (Masterchef ).

Melissa Joan Hart is represented by Gilbertson Entertainment.
