Brad Ingelsby Spec ‘Claire’ Bought By Black Bicycle

EXCLUSIVE: The Brad Ingelsby spec Claire has been bought by Erika Olde of Black Bicycle Entertainment, who will produce with Scott Free’s Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer and Michael Pruss. The script is a thriller that follows a mother who lives on a rural farm who must protect her daughter when she falls in with the wrong crowd. It’s the second collaboration between Scott Free and Black Bicycle after they set Jake Scott to direct the Ingelsby spec script The Burning Woman, which Scott, Schaefer and Pruss are producing through Scott Free and Olde is producing through Black Bicycle.

Black BicycleIngelsby started his career with Scott, back when he was selling insurance for his father in Pennsylvania and sold the spec that eventually became Out Of The Furnace, which at one time Scott planned to direct with Leonardo DiCaprio. The scribe also wrote the Liam Neeson action thriller Run All Night and crime thriller A Better Place, the latter of which is also set at Scott Free. He is repped by CAA and manager Brooklyn Weaver.

Olde most recently produced November Criminals for Sony Pictures Entertainment through Black Bicycle. Steven Knight wrote the script, based on the Sam Munson novel, and Sacha Gervasi directed with Ansel Elgort and Chloe Grace Moretz starring. The film will be released next year.
