‘Grease Live’ Casts Eve Plumb; Susan Kelechi Watson Joins Dan Fogelman Pilot

Grease Live has found its Mrs. Murdock. Eve Plumb has been tapped to play the T-Birds shop teacher in Fox’s upcoming live production of the popular musical set to air January 31. The role was played by Alice Ghostley in the 1978 feature film. Plumb joins an ensemble cast that includes Julianne Hough (Sandy), Aaron Tveit (Danny), Vanessa Hudgens (Rizzo), Carlos PenaVega (Kenickie), Keke Palmer (Marty), Carly Rae Jepsen (Frenchy), among others. Plumb is known for her role as Jan on the 1970s TV series The Brady Bunch, as well as TV movies Dawn: Portrait Of A Teenage Runaway and Little Women. Recent credits include Law And Order: SVU, Army Wives and feature Blue Ruin. She is currently shooting feature Monsoon. Plumb is repped by Clear Talent Group in NY and managed by Jodi Schoenbrun Carter.

Susan Kelechi Watson has booked a series regular role in NBC’s untitled Dan Fogelman’s pilot. Written on spec by Fogelman, the untitled dramedy is made up of a unique ensemble of characters all born on the same day. Watson, repped by Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Leading Artist Agency, will play Beth. She joins previously cast Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, Sterling Brown, and Ron Chephas Jones. Watson is also currently shooting a recurring role on HBO’s Divorce. She can most recently be seen on Showtime’s Happyish, HBO’s Veep and Fox’s The Following. She also recurred on The Blacklist and Louie.
