‘I Am Jazz’ Renewed For Second Season By TLC


TLC has ordered an eight-episode second season of TLC’s I Am Jazz, about transgender teen Jazz Jennings and her family, for premiere in 2016.

The first season followed 15-year-old Jazz as she faced decisions regarding her health, pursuing her passion for soccer, spending more time with friends, and navigating the dating world. Season will 2 will continue to chronicle Jazz’s life as she balances school, sports, and family, documenting her triumphs and struggles from the perspective of a transgender teen. Returning are Jenning’s parents Greg and Jeanette, her sister Ari, and twin brothers Griffen and Sander.

A transgender advocate and co-author of the book I Am Jazz, Jennings was named one of “The 25 Most Influential Teens ” in 2014 and 2015 by Time. Jazz and her parents founded the Transkids Purple Rainbow Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to support transgender youth and their families.
