ABC Developing Latino Family Comedy From ‘Accepted’ Scribe Mark Perez

ABC has bought Accidentes, a Latino family comedy pitch from Mark Perez, Eric Tannenbaum and CBS TV Studios. Written by Perez, Accidentes centers on a disgraced Wall Street lawyer who had distanced himself from his Latino roots and goes back home to work at his family’s strip-mall law firm in the heart of Little Havana.

Perez also executive produces with the Tannenbaum Company’s Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum. CBS TV Studios, where the Tannenbaum Company is based, is the studio.

Perez’s scripts include Disney’s The Country Bears and Universal’s Accepted. He also is writing Mothers I’d Like To…, a comedy being developed as a star vehicle for Jennifer Lopez at Universal, and Game Night at New Line. Perez is repped by ICM partners, Brian Lutz Management and attorney Adam Kaller.
