Sofia Vergara and Luis Balaguer’s Latin World Entertainment has hired producer Melissa Gelineau as VP Television & Development. The company is under an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV.
Gelineau moves to LatinWE from NBCUniversal International TV Production, where she served as VP Development. During her tenure there, she shepherded six-part miniseries The Devil’s Playground starring Toni Collette for Foxtel and Nowhere Boys, a half-hour children’s adventure series. Previously, Gelineau was SVP Creative Affairs for Mohawk Productions at Warner Bros. She has overseen creative for a variety of series including George Lopez, Freddie, Wanda At Large and Cybill, the latter for which she won a Golden Globe Award. She also was involved creatively in The Drew Carey Show, Norm and Roseanne.
