Director Colin Trevorrow tweeted today that principal photography has wrapped in New York City on The Book Of Henry for Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. From an original screenplay by novelist Gregg Hurwitz, Henry‘s specifics have been kept largely under wraps and we won’t say much more than it seems to be about kids but is very much not a kids movie. The cast includes Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher and Maddie Ziegler.
SKE is financing and co-producing the Focus Features release with Double Nickel Entertainment. Sidney Kimmel and Carla Hacken are producing with Double Nickel’s Jenette Kahn and Adam Richman.
Trevorrow is director of, among other things, Jurassic World, Safety Not Guaranteed and the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX. He also plans to helm and co-write Intelligent Life for DreamWorks. Hurwitz is a New York Times bestselling author of 14 novels including Don’t Look Back and Tell No Lies. He just recently signed on to adapt his own novel Orphan X for Warner Bros, a project Bradley Cooper is producing and may star in.
