‘Before I Fall’ Adds Liv Hewson; Gabriella Wright Joins ‘Security’

Liv Hewson has joined the cast of director Ry Russo-Young’s young adult fantasy-drama Before I Fall, the adaptation of the YA novel by Lauren Oliver coming from Awesomeness Films. The film follows Samantha Kingston, a high school senior who has it all: beautiful, with a great boyfriend and amazing best friends. But after getting caught in a time loop reminiscent of Groundhog Day, she finds that she may be living the last day of her life over and over until she gets it right. Hewson is playing Anna Cartullo, a gothed out teen living an impoverished, trailer park existence who connects with Samantha after asking hard question about Samantha and her friends’ behavior.

Maria Maggenti’s original script made the Black List, and revisions are by Gina Prince-Bythewood. Awesomeness Films’ Brian Robbins and Matt Kaplan are producing along with Jon Shestack.

Gabriella Wright has joined the cast of Security as the female lead Ruby, starring opposite Antonio Banderas and Ben Kingsley. The film follows a security guard tasked to protect a federal witness from a gang who wants her dead before trial.

Wright recently had a supporting role in The Transporter: Refueled, as well as Septembers of Shiraz opposite Salma Hayek and Adrien Brody. Her other credits include The Perfect Husband, and the upcoming The Alcoholist. She’s repped by Luber Roklin, Warick & McKenna, and George Davis.
