NBC Buys Brothers Comedy ‘Relative Success’ Produced By Krysten Ritter

NBC has put in development Relative Success, a single-camera comedy from comedian Max Silvestri, which is executive produced by Krysten Ritter. Universal TV is the studio.

Written by Silvestri, Relative Success is about what happens when two overachieving brothers — one a successful book editor, the other a well-known author – are forced to work together to keep their careers on track. They soon find their childish family disagreements are spilling over into their work lives.

The project stems from Uni TV’s first-look deal of Ritter’s Silent Machine Entertainment. The company recently brought on Peggy Cheng as their new head of development. Ritter, next on screen as the lead in Netflix’s Jessica Jones, also is producing Exposed with Sarah Condon, which is in development at E! with Andrea McCloud writing.

Silvestri is the host of the upcoming Bravo cooking competition show Recipe For Deception and previously hosted The Feed on the FYI Network. He has appeared on Broad City and @midnight, and he has written for FUSE’s Funny Or Die Presents: Billy On The Street and Comedy Central’s Onion Sports Dome. Along with Jenny Slate and Gabe Liedman, he created and hosted the long-running weekly live stand-up show Big Terrific in Brooklyn.

Ritter is repped by WME, Industry Entertainment, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and attorney Dave Feldman. Silvestri is repped by WME and Generate.
