The CW has put in development a drama project executive produced by Olivia Munn through her deal at CBS TV Studios. Written by Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife), the untitled project is set in 1974 and centers on a young journalist who gets hired by an ambitious NY news programming chief as a publicity stunt to be one of the first female on-air sports reporters, and has to learn to navigate gender politics in front of and behind the camera at a time when women were literally not even allowed in the press box. Humphrey and Munn executive produce for CBS TV Studios.
This marks the first sale as a TV producer for Munn. On the acting side, she completed shooting the role of Psylocke in X-Men for Fox, and has Ride Along 2 coming out in January for Universal. She is repped by CAA and Dave Fleming at Atlas Artists.
