‘Limelight’ Repped By Taylor & Dodge, Ian Hart Joins ‘Modern Life Is Rubbish’ – AFM

Worldwide sales rights for director James Cullen Bressack’s feature Limelight have been acquired by Taylor & Dodge. Inspired by real events, the topical Limelight follows an up-and-coming social media celebrity (Paul Vandervort, who also scripted) on his journey from small-town narcissist to Hollywood movie star. The pic also features Brit Shaw, Sean Kanan, Jenna Jameson, and Jonathan Lipnicki. Taylor & Dodge president Tyler Konney is representing Limelight at AFM. Bressack is repped by John Schneider at Schneider Management and Howard Fishman at Hirsch Wallerstein; Vandervort by Joe Montifiore at Silverfox Management. Brit Shaw is repped by Lena Roklin at LRE and Jaime Feld at CAA.

Ian Hart, (Harry Potter And the Sorcerer’s Stone, Finding Neverland) has joined Freya Mavor (Not Another Happy Ending, Skins) and Josh Whitehouse (Northern Soul) in the romantic comedy Modern Life Is Rubbish, currently filming in London. The Exchange is handling worldwide sales. Liam (Whitehouse) and Natalie (Mavor) have reached a breaking point. They start by splitting their prized music library — but the soundtrack that defined their relationship keeps tugging them back together. Modern Life Is Rubbish was financed by Piccadilly Pictures, Lipsync, Masnomis and the BFI Film Fund. It’s produced by Dominic Norris of Serotonin Films and directed by Daniel Gill. Philip Gawthorne penned the script.
