Amazon Developing TV Series Based On ‘Darkover’ Books From IM Global

Darkover, a TV adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley’s book series, has been set up at Amazon Studios, I have learned. Darkover was among the projects on the maiden development slate of IM Global Television, the TV arm of feature-film financing, production and sales company IM Global, a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA, co-founded by Stuart Ford and Mark Stern.

Ilene Kahn Power (Traffic) and Elizabeth Stanley are set to executiveimglobaltv produce the Darkover TV series, now in development. Search is underway for a writer to pen the adaptation. The 25-book series, a mix of fantasy and science fiction, is set on the exotic planet of Darkover. It was started by Bradley in 1958 with The Planet Savers and has been translated into 17 languages.
