WE tv has ordered eight hourlong episodes of Driven To Love, a dating reality series, hosted by Ray J, for premiere in early 2016.
Produced by Lion Television and based on a format by Matar Productions and Zig Zag Productions, relationships on Driven To Love actually start in the backseat of a car and develop from there. In each episode, Ray J will drive a hopeful single around town in an SUV in a search for potential mates. Along the way, Ray J will provide dating advice, present a handful of carefully selected prospects, and supervise dates that take place both inside and outside the vehicle. The rider can choose to drive by a potential mate, stop to pick them up, or kick someone already in their ride straight to the curb. At the end of the day they’ll choose one match to join them for a romantic weekend getaway in the hopes of building a new relationship.
“Online dating sites and dating apps have become the norm in finding romance,” said Marc Juris, WE tv’s president. “Driven to Love is a real life interpretation of this popular dating trend with a fun, engaging twist. And Ray J only adds to the excitement of this show. He’s a talented young star who has just a bit of experience in the dating world which makes him the perfect host for this series.”
Executive producers for Lion Television are Tony Tackaberry and Allison Corn; executive producers for Zig Zag Prods are Danny Fenton and Matt Graff. Exec producers for Matar Productions are Ami Amir and Lilach Dekel. Ray J, Knockout Entertainment and David Weintraub/DWE Talent also executive produce. Lauren Gellert, David Stefanou, and Kate Farrell are the executive producers for WE tv.
