Adrian Lyne & Nicole Kidman Team For Hot AFM Pic ‘Silent Wife’

EXCLUSIVE: In what shapes up to be a hot pic package for AFM and the first feature Adrian Lyne has directed since 2002’s Unfaithful, Lyne is poised to direct Silent Wife, a thriller that has Nicole Kidman attached to play a woman wronged. Scripted by Billy Ray based on the bestselling 2013 A.S.A. Harrison novel of the same name, the film focuses on a husband who starts an affair with the early 20ish daughter of his best friend. That’s dangerous enough, but the least of his worries. His wife (Kidman) discovers the affair, and plots his murder.

Kidman and Per Saari¬†are producing via their¬†Blossom Film along with Lyne, and Mazur/Kaplan Company’s Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan. CAA is repping domestic on the film and FilmNation will be selling international at AFM.

Lyne continues to be intrigued by sexual infidelity and obsession, with past sex-charged films that include Lolita, Indecent Proposal, Fatal Attraction, Nine 1/2 Weeks, and Flashdance. He has flirted with a number of projects in recent years, but I’m told this one is serious and is likely to happen fast.
