MTV’s ‘Little Darlings’ & Kaplan/Elfont Comedy Pilots Set Cast, Directors

MTV has set the cast and directors for comedy pilots Little Darlings (working title) and Untitled Kaplan/Elfont Project. Rebecca Thomas (Electrick Children) will direct the pilot for Little Darlings, and Michael Blieden (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) will helm the pilot for Untitled Kaplan/Elfont Project. Additionally, Amanda Lasher (Gossip Girl) will join Little Darlings as executive producer and showrunner.

From Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Little Darlings revolves around two very unlikely friends who take justice into their own hands and kick literal ass on their college campus. Eliza Bennett (Nanny McPhee) plays Jules, a sorority girl at South State University who’s living with a dark secret and balancing her picture perfect co-ed life with a new mission of redemption. Bennett is repped by ICM, Independent Talent Group and Affirmative Entertainment. Taylor Dearden (Breaking Bad) plays Ophelia, a trust-fund anarchist with sarcasm and wit to spare. She’s repped by Coronel Group. Katie Chang (Bling Ring) is Kennedy, president of the best sorority at South State. She’s repped by Innovative and Carole Dibo Talent. Nick Fink (Glee) is Tyler, an intellectual art major who notices Jules reading his favorite book and seeks her out on campus in the hope of getting to know her better. He’s repped by JKA Talent & Literary Agency and Brook Forest Entertainment. Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) plays Harris, a whip-smart law student. He’s repped by Don Buchwald & Associates and A Management.

From Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, Untitled Kaplan/Elfont centers on Paige and Jordan, who may be weed dealers, but in their eyes they are entrepreneurs. Their dope delivery app is gaining popularity quickly with foodies, celebrities and – the most particular and crucial consumer – hipsters. Scout Durwood (The Mindy Project) plays Jordan, a brash, ballsy, freewheeling force of nature whose goal is to have the biggest all-female weed delivery business in Los Angeles. Durwood is repped by Prestige Talent Agency, Reload Management and Mark S. Temple. Jessica Rothe (La La Land) is Paige, the last girl you’d expect to be a drug dealer, but she can’t seem to find the path to the picture-perfect life she’d envisioned (and created a vision board for). She’s repped by Gersh. Kosha Patel (The Newsroom) is Jenee, an uber-hip blogger who is painfully blasé about everything in her life, including her new book deal and the obscene amount of money she’s making from it. She’s repped by Gersh and Brillstein. H. Michael Croner (Review) plays Chris, a sweet but romantically clueless guy who gets more than he bargained for when Paige delivers his weed. He’s repped by Gersh and Mosaic. Dan Ahdoot (Super Fun Night) is Robbie, status-obsessed douchebag who fired Jordan from his dispensary and loves to rub his success in the girls’ faces. He’s repped by 360, Innovative and Verve.
