Grant Show Joins ABC Drama Series ‘The Family’

EXCLUSIVE: Devious Maids star Grant Show has been cast in a recurring role opposite Joan Allen in ABC’s new midseason drama series The Family. Written by Jenna Bans, The Family follows the return of a politician’s young son who was presumed dead after disappearing over a decade earlier. As the mysterious young man is welcomed back into his family suspicions emerge — is he really who he says he is?

Show will play Charlie Lang, the ego-driven, blue blood Democratic incumbent Governor of Maine, who will face off against the surging Republican candidate Claire Warren (Allen) in the state’s upcoming election. Privileged from birth, career politician Lang will be thrown off his game while dealing with Warren, and start to suspect there is something sinister going on after her youngest son’s seemingly miraculous return from captivity. Bans executive produces with Todd Lieberman, David Hoberman and Laurie Zaks. ABC Studios is the studio.

Show has played Spence Westmore on all three seasons of Lifetime’s Devious Maids and will return for the series’ fourth season in 2016. He is repped by One Entertainment and UTA.
