As the company expands projects based on its line of games and toys, Hasbro Studios has announced the hiring of screenwriter T.J. Fixman as Creative Consultant.
Among Fixman’s feature script credits are Tristar’s Generation Heist, Fox’s The Men Who Kill, produced by Greg Berlanti and starring Michael B. Jordan, and Gargoyles for Disney. Fixman was also instrumental in the creation of Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank video game franchise, leading storyline development for the award-winning series. He also wrote the script for the upcoming feature film adaptation, featuring a new story based on the original trilogy of games for Playstation 2. While at Insomniac, he also led storyline development for Resistance: Fall of Man.
At Hasbro Studios, Fixman will be responsible for building upon Hasbro’s portfolio of brands across all platforms, including film, television and digital. In this capacity he’ll work closely with the company’s internal storytelling team, including Josh Feldman, Head of Film Development and Michael Ross and Meghan McCarthy, Heads of Storytelling for Television, reporting directly to Chief Content Officer and President of Hasbro Studios, Stephen Davis.
Based in Los Angeles, Hasbro Studios is the entertainment division of Hasbro, Inc. Among previous successful projects based on Hasbro brands is Michael Bay’s Transformers series of films. The company recently began development on Quija 2 following the success of the 2014 hit, and is also working on My Little Pony The Movie.
