Netflix Teams Up With Curzon Cinemas For Cary Fukunaga’s ‘Beasts Of No Nation’

Netflix is partnering with Curzon Cinemas for the UK theatrical release of Cary Fukunaga’s Beasts Of No Nation. The film, which world premiered to acclaim at the Venice Film Festival, next will screen October 8 at the BFI London Film Festival. Netflix then will debut the film October 16 in all its territories on its SVOD platform. Beasts will play in select Curzon cinemas across the UK.

The film stars Idris Elba and Abraham Attah, who won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best young actor at Venice netflix-logofor his performance as a child soldier in a war-torn African country. Beasts is based on the Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala’s novel. Fukunaga and Amy Kaufman produce, along with Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Riva Marker and Dan Crown for Red Crown Productions. Elba serves as exec producer along with Participant Media’s Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King. Bill Benenson and Laura Bickford are also exec producers, as are Levantine Films’ Donna Gigliotti, New Balloon’s Elizabeth Koch and Kristina Kendall and also Todd Courtney.
