Netflix Gets Away With Rights To ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 1

A week before the Shondaland drama’s Season 2 premiere, Netflix announced today that it has nabbed streaming rights to the first season of ABC’s hit drama How To Get Away With Murder. The deal was announced in a statement and on Twitter later:

netflix-logoThe deal is fully global, with Netflix customers in the U.S., Latin America and Canada able to stream the entire 15-episode season starting today. Other regions will follow in the coming months.

“We’re excited to offer global audiences season one of How To Get Away With Murder,” said Sean Carey, Vice President of Global TV at Netflix. “Offering members a chance to discover it for the first time or relive the drama of season one before the new season’s premiere.”

The show joins several other ABC series that stream on Netflix, including HTDAWM‘s Thursday night lead-ins Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. The second season of How To Get Away With Murder premieres September 24.
