Weinstein Company Snags Relativity Exec To Replace Outgoing EVP Promotions & Integrated Marketing

UPDATE with more details: The Weinstein Company has hired former Relativity Media exec Zoe Fairbourn as Executive Vice President of Promotions and Integrated Marketing, a role she takes over from Lance Still, who is exiting the company for a role at A+E Networks. Fairbourn was the former EVP Strategic Partnerships at Relativity, which is going through a sale via U.S. Bankruptcy Court. In her new position she will oversee global promotions, branded entertainment, consumer products, licensing, product integrations, corporate sponsorship and strategic alliances for TWC and its genre label Dimension Films.

weinsteinFairbourn will report to TWC co-chairmen Harvey and Bob Weinstein in addition to COO David Glasser, who has just signed a new deal to stay at the company after he had tendered his resignation to the board. This is one of his first moves since the new pact was inked. Fairbourn will be based in Los Angeles.

Another Relativity exec, president Tucker Tooley, had been in talks with TWC to assume many of Glasser’s duties. But no deal was done and Glasser is back, though in the interim the company lost several execs including Radius partners Tom Quinn and Jason Janego, and Julie Rapaport, Glasser’s former assistant who rose to SVP Production but left to join Amazon Studios.

“We are very excited for Lance in her new endeavors, but are thrilled to have Zoe bringing her strengths and creative talents to TWC,” Glasser said today of Fairbourn. “Zoe’s background with studios, agencies and corporations will be a huge asset to TWC in continuing to integrate global brands with our properties in film, television, publishing and home entertainment.”

Before Relativity, Fairbourne worked at WME in the agency’s marketing department.
