Richard Roundtree Joins ‘The Player’; Aaron Moten In ‘Mozart In The Jungle’

Richard Roundtree (Being Mary Jane) has booked a recurring role on NBC’s drama series The Player. Philip Winchester and Wesley Snipes star in the Las Vegas thriller that centers on a former military operative turned security expert who is drawn into a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on his ability to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out. Roundtree, repped by Dede Binder at Defining Artists and manager Patrick McMinn, plays a mentor to Snipes’ character Alex.

Aaron Moten (The Flick) has been cast in a recurring role on Amazon’s comedy Mozart In The Jungle. Based on the memoir by Blair Tindal, the series, written by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Alex Timbers, is all about sex, drugs and classical music and shows that what happens behind the curtains at the symphony can be just as captivating as what happens onstage. Moten will play Erik Winkelstrauss, a wealthy and charming banker bound to shake some things up at the Symphony. Moten, repped by Gersh and Authentic Talent & Literary Management, appeared in Broadway’s revival of A StreetCar Named Desire and most recently was seen opposite Meryl Streep in Ricki And The Flash.
