‘Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter’-Based TV Series Set By Pacific Coast Entertainment

Pacific Coast Entertainment, the production company behind upcoming sci-fi feature Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter starring Tracey Birdsall, is prepping a 6-8-episode television series based on the film, with Birdsall set to reprise her role. Titled Gods Of War, the series, described as a cross between Star Wars and Mad Max, is set in the distant future depicting the struggles of humanity forced to merge with machine intelligence.

Rogue Warrior writer-director Neil Johnson is writing the treatments for each episode and will possibly write some of them. Pacific Coast is financing the series, partially utilizing tax credits from different countries. Additional casting is slated to begin before the end of the year.

Gods Of War will “be a story-driven epic series similar to the Game of Thrones model,” said Johnson. He says the plan is to film primarily in the U.S., with additional photography likely in other countries.
