One day before Donald Trump makes his triumphant return to NBC as the GOP front-runner with a guest appearance on the network’s top-rated late-night show, he will call in to The Ladies of The View this Thursday.
Trump’s phoned-in appearance happens the same day Joe Biden is set to guest on CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and hopefully make some news in re whether he’s running for the White House. Biden Bump is dominating headlines today – he’s up 10 points from last month, while still dodging questions about a possible run.
Trump already received some love on The View during this morning’s season debut, coming from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who is some pundits’ Biden fantasy running mate. Warren said today, “Donald Trump and I both agree that there ought to be more taxation of the billionaires, the people who are making their money off Wall Street.” She declined co-host Joy Behar’s suggestion to call it a “liberal” position, saying, “Don’t call it liberal; it’s a pretty right position.”
But Warren took issue with “the other half of Donald Trump.” That’s the “half” that “wants to rip 11 million people who live in this country, rip them out of their families, take them away and deport them.”
“You can’t be president of the United States if that’s your view about how we’re going to solve immigration reform,” Warren schooled Trump.
